How much do German courses cost at die deutSCHule?

Our intensive German courses start at 318€ for 4 weeks (16 lessons per week, Tuesday to Friday). The 8-week intensive course is 636€. Online courses are the same price as our in-person courses. All levels A1 to C1 are offered at the same price point. Exam fees are separate — internal students pay 118€ for the CEFR exam, external students pay 149€.

Is die deutSCHule a licensed exam centre?

Yes. die deutSCHule is a licensed telc examination centre and a licensed TestDaF examination centre. We offer telc exams from A1 to C2, and TestDaF (the standardized German exam for university admission. Our students can take their certification exams at our Berlin-Neukölln campus.

Do I need a visa to study at die deutSCHule?

It depends on your nationality. Citizens of EU/EEA countries don't need a visa to attend our courses. Students from outside the EU often need a language acquisition visa (Sprachvisum) to study German in Germany. die deutSCHule provides the necessary enrollment documentation for your visa application, including proof of intensive study.

How long does it take to learn German at die deutSCHule?

Our intensive courses cover each CEFR level in 8 weeks (16 lessons per week, plus homework). From absolute beginner (A1) to advanced (C1), the typical path takes about 10 months of continuous study. Most students need B1 for daily life in Berlin, B2 for most jobs, and C1 for university admission or professional/academic roles.

Where is die deutSCHule located in Berlin?

die deutSCHule is located at Karl-Marx-Straße 107 in Berlin-Neukölln, easily reached by U-Bahn (U7 Karl-Marx-Straße, two minutes' walk) or by S-Bahn. Our Neukölln campus hosts all in-person courses and exams. We also offer fully online German courses for students who can't attend in person.
